Your problem is, your trying to run a PHONO line, to a stereo line.. You need a Phono pre-amp. A DJ mixer would work as well, but a $49 phono pre will sound better then a $49 DJ mixer.. Unless you need the fader's, ect for a second sound source. I snagged a $49 rolls at GC for $25... -

My mic jack, or line in on my toshiba satellite laptop with Win Vista isnt workin. May i suggest an Axiom25? Key's, pads, And knobs.. wat more u want for $179? My MPD syncd up with FL6 fine after i installed the software from Akias website. but it doesnt work with my Vista equiped laptop, so im gonna order me an Axiom -

Emu and Audicity problems
With my stock soundcard, Audicity has no problems sampling from cpu, line in, ect. But as soon as i install my Emu-0404 the whole drop down menu becomes inacessable. Ive been threw all the audio options, and everything thats available sound card wise is selected. Anybody got any ideas? -

Is FL really a good software?
Exactly. FL studio is my favorite program, And thats coming from a Reason and Fruityloops user. FL studio, Combined with NI KOMPLETE, is.. Great. -

Its probably just the interface thats kinda scary, But i just purchased Reason 3, And feel i waisted $300. The sequencer isnt good at all, I cant figure out the "Hotkey's" for the transpose button's, It's hard to edit whats been recorded threw Midi [Thus far, Man i miss good 'ol piano roll]... -

MIDI over USB latency
USB, And the stock sound card [Im assuming.. Why else would you use usb?] is creating the latency. Download the ASIO4ALL.com drivers, And hope for the best. I love my MPD16, And Midi key's, Both threw USB. It can always be fixed in piano roll. But a new soundcard, Or Midi interface will help... -

Besides fl studio
Id suggest a nice 61 key Midi controller, A decent 16 pad Drum controller, NI Komplete, A sound card, And at minimuim a Good [Senhieser HD 280 Pro, Ect.] set of headphones. You'll need monitors pretty soon as well. -FL6 is $100 [I assume you already have it? -NI Kontact is around $300 i... -
