Yeah same here when I start making a track thinking im heading in one direction alot of times I end up doing something completely different -

Yes do this to thicken up all your sounds. Layer the same sound changing the way you eq' them just slightly to give thicker sounds -
BPM of Acapellas
either play with your track till the bpm fit the lyrics or you can do this......cut a 4 beat loop from the original song/instrumental whatever. then just loop that till you find the bpm where it loops perfectly.....then you will know the bpm of the original song -

filtering sounds
I came across the sample used in serial killla by snoop and i am wondering how they get all of the background noises gone. Sounds like he used the original loop just sped up a lil bit, just really good filters or many layers to hide it i dunno?? -

resolution is a knob at the bottom of the redrum has like 1/26 1/32 ect.... ive never had that problem but when i make a sound in the malstrom then make a patter in the matrix editor it will sound right, and then when i hit the play button at the bottom of reason it sounds completely diff and it... -
tone transitions
You know when you are wistling a tune and u go from a lower to higher pitch the sound "rolls" smoothly to the next tone....what effects do u guys use to get this effect. like if I wanna play a synth and I want the sound to roll together more rather than sounding like individual note hits. U... -

adding more melodies
This is a hard q;s to explain I was trying to find a good song example if I do ill post it on here, and I feel like this is what my tracks are lacking. I can make a nice melody with whatever sound but how do I add other melodies so that it sounds like it fits together. What is this... -

Its all about what you feel comfortable with, and like jmafia said go and mess around with all the eqpt your interested about...hear how they sound, how they feel. Dont waste a bunch of money on an expensive piece of eqpt that you might not like or use. I know how u feel though you can never... -
offset drum pattern?
I think you just got a play with it and used your ear I dont think there is a set "offset" pattern......listen to those artists u like and try and copy what they did and then look at the way its layed out -
