maybe you should just get a bass amp and mike it. how old is it? maybe you need a neck adjustment, or the frets need filing. and or like junky said "change the strings" -
slider on the mpd
yea me too. i also use it for when i have a sample that i have to trim and the part that i want is either at the end or beginning. in trim mode i push and hold shift while sliding the slider. its a lot faster than turning the dial. -

compression question
i would put the multiband after the warmer, then space enhancer, then limiter. NOTE: the vintage warmer is an all in one mastering plugin. actually i would eliminate the warmer and stick with the other three. or just use the warmer. and definately use your ears. a pair of monitors would help... -

yes you need a compressor, a multi band compressor at that. that way you can compress over different fequency ranges. like if you need more compression on the low end, and less compression on the hi end. multi band compression is the way to go. then use limiter. -

yea man you have to start backing up your stuff. as for the problem, could be anything. sorry not much help. i fried my hard drive before too. lost everything. when i bought my new drive i bought an extra internal and a scsi drive for back up. -

call support give them model & serial number of your pc then they will tell you what you need. or check your pc manual. the type of ram you need should be in there. -
The Audio Chain...from your mic to the Mixer.
i would go with the compressor, expander & maybe the exciter, other than that i would lay my tracks dry.so save the reverb & delays for after laying the tracks. -

i was once told to save all the sweetening till after you export, because of that same reason. you should only mix in cubase then export, then open wavelab (2 track editor) and sweeten the mix in there so you don`t loose anything. -
