No one's to be praised for thinking outside the box if there's no box at all. This audience -like any other- has it's own ever-evolving biases and tendencies, and all we're to do is to keep adapting. that's all we can ever do, be it to the charts' tendencies to accept more shallow spineless art, to your label's or ur local specific taste, or... You can't expect everything from anything after all.
We do need more West Coast producers to bring in that funk. Where the Dr. Dre clones at?
Primz had to stir the pot for attention lol. Doesn't matter who wins, doesn't matter what style of hip-hop you produce, just DO YOU. I've yet to win and I think my beats are way better than 90% of the producers on this forum. I'm not crying about it.

thanks @Fade and @2GooD Productions i ran out of time searching for proper samples to chop so threw this pack sample on and left the simple drum loop, but it does feel dirty as much as its a sick sample, like watching porn feel guilty but still bust!

Would you guys assume the majority of producers on this forum get votes based on how they interact with other users? For example, if there's an overly cocky, thinks he's better than everyone, has usually negative things to say, doesn't contribute much other than post beats and talks shit casually, do you think whoever is voting is judging just the beat itself (production wise and mixing skills), judging based on the guy's character/personality and how they interact with other board members or a mix of both? I will keep it 100% and say for me it's a mix of both, if I don't like what you say, or just don't like you period for whatever reason, even though I'm feeling your beat(s) the most I will probably vote for the next guy in line.

It is what is lol. Some producers use the same formula so it's easier to spot who's who. But yeah, I meant as in voting when you know who's the producer or have a very good idea of who it is.

If you're confident in yourself, your beats, and aren't insecure or jealous then you would just vote for the beat you think is best.
The one that almost catches me is if I think a beat will be my direct competitor - because it feels like helping your opponent in a sport. But I try to pay it no mind - I will hope others play with integrity and that if my beat is good enough it will win.
Do I think people have intentionally voted against me intentionally, definitely. Some have probably voted for me.
If someone's winning too much you may feel tempted to vote against them - but again, if they're winning. Likely they deserve to win. Keep it real and step your game up.
Sometimes if I have to pick between two beats I might lean towards the one I think will get less votes. Just because I want it to get the recognition.
