I voted for @Armani and thought he killed it. I come from the Dilla school of producers where we can appreciate and flip anything and everything from Zero 7 to Soundgarden to The Dells, so I appreciate where it took this challenge and didn't do a basic beat and idea we've heard a thousand times.

@Iron Keys What's your feedback on Houndoom R?

This was actually one of my favorites. I really liked the vibe. It's quite pumpy, but I like that kind of texture for this record.

I think the hats maybe come a little too loud, and sometimes where the vocal comes up is a little too unnatural/uncomfortable for me. Actually wondering if that's a lowpass filter actually.

Definitely a vibe. I really enjoy it. Just a few minor tweaks to the mix --- I think those hihats are too loud/sharp in context of the rest of the mix (the clanky ones). They could come down a good few db I'm sure. Then that lowpass sweep or whatever, I think could maybe be done slightly better. It felt more like an accident than intentional, needs to feel a bit more musical.

Otherwise, this is dope imho.

Congrats to primz, fade (cuz lit fucking theme) and everyone who joined. At the same time that I genuinely didn't know the theme was still hip hop, I'm glad I used the opportunity to make edm and piss my folks off :ROFLMAO:

My only/biggest piece of feedback to those who entered is to learn a little bit of music theory. I don't mean complicated chords and weird scales and... Just figure out how to make a major scale or minor scale work, how to find the root note, shit like that. It's not even complex knowledge, it's just basic concepts that you need to let your ear practice. Gives you 5x 6x more freedom with your choices. (if you feel like you're too 1980 to need it, then how are you gonna find what scale your samples are on?)
