    One kinda big difference is if you use a rim instead of a snare. I dont do tons of RnB so i dont know all this but i usually use rims to tone down the track. It works for me.

    Get something from One Stop Beats ( http://www.onestopbeats.com/catalog1.html ). There $10 each. My friend got one of the the PJ's disks and it was hot. Plus its a lot cheaper then those $50 or $100 kits.
