    A good soundcard and fast cpu and lots of memory is your priority i think. cos u can just get da software for free, harharhar , u should get some studio monitors and a midi keyboard later.

    yea, those default Asio drivers are wack, make sure u go into Device setup/Vst Multitrack , set the correct Asio driver and click on Expert and set the Audio priority to LOW, click Apply and u ready to go

    Wavelab and NI Kontakt all the way, alltho im savin up for a MPC-1000 to get the whole "Hands On" approach , I think combining the both is the best u can get, best of both worlds

    Steinberg and Waves for me, i couldnt live without nuendo , wavelab and the waves mastering plugins, Manji, u can get Jack to Rca cables, or u could get a cheap mixer, this way u get a pre-amp too unless u already got a dj mixer or RIAA amp
