HAHA, this is crumbsnatcher shit.. sounds like you're threatening me with a bad article for pullin your card & catchin you in lies. Be true to thyself. I posted a direct quote from you that I found with the search feature on this site.. I can't lose because your own text is right there for the world to see.

""there's one thing you can never truly get from no vst's is ya kicks, snare, hi hats, shakers - these ma man i suggest ya get acid 4.0 and chop them out of tracks, or my complete suggestion banginbeats.com - i think its like $10 a kit - i suggest every $10 you can spend you buy a kit and put together a great library. I've never been disappointed by the kits they have - like butta baby."
====

So with your new post, I retract my offer.
Your opinion is one thing, but your inconsistency with truth is another.
If any article by you about the company is ever on illmuzik, I'll discontinue my ads & sponsorship w/ illmuzik. Which is where the money from several kit purchases goes monthly. I can't see supporting a site that gives a floundering bandwagon jumper the power to slander a company with lies...

I suggest you quit writing all together and work on your production skills. Thats sound advice.

whoa... that is some seriousness... anyway like i said before... if u use samples that u chop on your own then ur more suited to werk with that sample for it was ur imagination that picked out that particular soundin the ferst place.

damn, i didnt know the online drum kit business was as "oh so gangsta" as this.

Next thing you know, the Corlionnee crime family will be cranking out the snappy snares and the deep bass kicks, and leaving horse heads in the beds of bangin beats.com, croupkits.com, ect.

Shit, I know im even risking my own life with this post.

lol, its really not that serious on this end.. But we aint jc penny over here.. We bust our hump in the trenches, give back to the community, and don't put ourselves on a pedestal above our customers. No doubt.. I agree w/ lavrock 100%.. Anyone with the time, equipment & know how to do so.. will create the sound best suited for their own music. No sound company is gonna fit perfect for everyone.. All we can do is try.. Based on what WE think is hot..
Thanks for the feedback from all who replied though!

Kirk T, I defintley respect anyone who is about their hustle and determined to make things happen for themselves. Just by you coming on this board and representing your cause like you've done, you might have just won yourself another customer.

kirk, i think krzy was sincere about the article. i highly doubt that fade would allow an article bashing a sponsor.

you can say all you want about his consistancy- thats a different issue altogether, however (in my humble opinion) in the interest of good business i think you should keep your word and allow your offer to stand. i dont think he was threatening you- he basically said he was going to turn the isue into a positive and make pace on HIS side (the way you did by offering him free kits) by making an article of it NOW unless krzy comes on and proves me wrong........

just a suggestion, tryin to help maintain peace and all that.... i think this was just a miscommunication.

*as far as the original question-

if you are on a budget and palying with limited funds, the last thing you want to do is drop $350 for drums- thats a whole sound module off ebay. the fact of the matter is that while we all will have our thoughts on what sounds good, you will have your own opinion when you get them- and you really wont know until you buy it. i reccomend you check out the demos and buy a few kits from the styles you like best so you dont lose much if you arent satisfied- and then you can check out the huge number of sites with free samples to get you started.

my personal results were mixed- i ordered three disks and one wouldnt let me load individual hits, only the whole program- and there were maybe 10 sounds between the three disks that i felt were useable for myself- now when you stop and think that they have around 50 kits (i think, dont quote me there- there may be repeats in some) so if the same ratio held up, that would be 150 useable sounds (again, going off my original experience) at about .30 a sound if you bought the whole thing- not bad by that standard. thats just something to think about.

and a lil reminder guys- it IS a good idea to maintain a solid relationship with our sponsors- so love em or hate em, lets make it a point to keep it respectful when we give our thoughts on it......

Maybe you're right.. Its hard to read what people are tryin to get across sometimes in text.. If I jumped the gun, my apologies.. But my offer is still retracted.. A company submits free products to reviewers when they feel they'll get a fair shake.. I don't think thats the case here. Its clear this is someone whos opinion of our product changes dpending on the direction of the bandwagon. Just my opinion. Like him, I have one too.

&PS: I agree, fade probably wouldnt sanction it.. I fully support anything fade is doin because I consider this site a great resource for producers.. & i know he put in alot of work and aint gettin rich off this.. He does it out of love, & I can relate..

Well, how did you like those kits? Did you feel they were worth your money? If so, the Big Willie Library is most likely going to be of the same standard, and apart from the "secret" kits included that aren't listed, then you can see what type of drums will be included from looking through the whole catalogue...and cheaper per kit as buying the whole library gives you a mass reduction.

As I already mentioned, I like their drums, but I still layer them and tweak them to fit my own personal taste...however, starting out with a good source, like I feel BanginBeats is, is much better than starting out with a bad source, like I feel many of those free drums off the internet is.

The choice is yours...

I do this, get a rack mod like a proteus 2000. sample all the sounds onto a disk.( then return it. lol, na keep it) once there are on disk you can change them by adding fx or changing pitch in the mpc.
