"that does the screwing. That too is the nature of the business." No business is mutually beneficial transactions. No one is getting screwed if you buy reason for example. The audio industry is crazy small and has not made very many millionaires. Digidesign of course is a huge example of the...

48 Laws of Power - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS FOR THE RAP GAME.

"Warren Buffet is the exception, rather than the rule..." No his approach to handling people is based on Dale Carnegie and his handling of business and stocks is based on Benjamin Graham and Phil Phisher. Honestly what he does can be learned by anyone. Now his MASSIVE success can not be...

It's just crazy because everyone here wants to get paid from selling there beats, and yet seem ok that developers who but in tons of money and work to make these products get screwed. Bottom line if you make money with your music, buy your software.

48 Laws of Power - YOU NEED TO KNOW THIS FOR THE RAP GAME.

Ya I am not in to this book, makes everything seems so shady. I really disagree with its philosophy in getting ahead in life. I prefer the Warren Buffet approach it seems much more honest and ethical. I don't like the idea of just using people.

Jay Z and Jack White Colab!

Ha ha, I would venture Jack is one of the finest musicians alive right now. He is behind "The white stripes" "Dead Weather" "The Raconteurs" He has also produced a TON of stuff including things for Loretta Lynn. Check out "Under black pool lights" Or " Under Great White Northern Lights" for his...

    Mixcraft vs. Pro Tools

Honestly for Hip-hop top 40 the two most use programs are Pro tools and Reason. I do agree with Sucio that it does help to have PT but if the song is hot no one cares how it was made.

    Linux!

Ardour as far as an editor goes is fantastic. I actually have mixed a 8 song album in Ardour for a folk musician and it was great. Midi sequencing sucks and of course there are not as many plugins, you can get Windows VST plugins to work but not %100 reliably.

Linux on all my web servers, I don't admin them so I think they are running Cent but I am not sure. I also have a Nuke workstation running Mint and I have Ardour on it. It rocks!

Texas Board Of Education Declare Hip Hop Is Not A Cultural Movement

Jim Jones teaching music in New York high school?

I think more people like him should be teachers. Most teachers have never actually done what they are teaching in real life. Having someone in the classroom with real experience is invaluable. I would LOVE to take a class from Kayne.
