    What in hardware can you not find in a refill? Seriously if there is something lacking I can make it.

    I am a huge Ableton fan, but with Record man it is amazing. I would say Reason has the best sequencer of the bunch, so getting audio in Record and then using Recycle = AWESOME!

    "The kits are based on FM synthesis" No refills can be anything, sample libraries. Rex loops, patchs based on other Reason synths (Some of them are FM) but not limited to.

    I agree that done wrong it ruins things, but even Bjork used TONS of compression. After you have a few clients say "why doesn't my song sound like songs on the radio" you learn how to crank that up. hell I track most vocalist with compression and then add more later. You know who else does that...
