thats exactly what i do as well, i make a beat and then copy it and make changes to it, like bridge, hook, intro, etc. it is way more efficient i think -

just pick a song that you are felling the sounds used and just go in and listen to the track and pick the parts that get your attention, and just put them in a midi and just play with it and see what you come up with, you will be suprised -

yeah i have tried that but what about those old records where the eqing is bad, i cant seem to get those crisp sounds that i want, its all muffled and muddy -

when i am about to make a beat i throw a record on and listen to it while i smoke and listen for parts that i would like to sample, sometimes i watch a beat making video before hand to just get me pumped, but everytime i smoke it seems like i get in that mood -
cool edit pro question
I use only vinyl samples to make my beats and when i record them into cool edit pro, the eqing and everything just doesnt sound clean. Not for all samples just certain ones. I use the pop and click remover and hiss reduction, but them it doesnt sound right. I guess my question is how do i... -

yeah i would have guessed the buffer on your audio, i dont know i have never had this problem -

i think you are working with FL so, yeah just use the time stretch function. just move the pitch on your channel settings that you you want to speed up or slow down and then counter act in on the timestretch also on the channel settings, hope this helps -

well have you gone to options, then midi settings and have assigned the type of controller you are using in FL. I have the 44 and i have it assigned as a generic controller, and it works fine. hope this helps................ -
