    hmm I dont have that problem on this side, that Phenom is a crappy cpu but that should not matter. How long to do wait before you give up? Usually if you wait out a not responding problem it will begin to work again.

    For most of what is done for hip hop production any external drive would work. Glyph stuff is by far the best, and USB 2 is faster than firwire 400, but firewire 800 of course is faster if you have a firewire 800 port on your computer. Most newer imacs do.

    Akai knows that hardware boxs like that are dying, they will not invest much in making improvements. But they will milk the MPC name for a long time. And to be honest I cant blame them R&D is expensive.

    No dacalion, no keyboard can EVER have the quality of a plugin like VSL I mean it takes 80gb of harddrive just to run it.

    Yes you can get better sounds with a computer You did not get any good refills, so many top 40 songs are built in Reason. But yea Fl with good sounding plugins would be great as well.

    Well thanks dac, and I agree show confidence but at the same time you need to help customers when they have questions. MOTU rarely delivers, in fact http://www.motunation.com was started so MOTU users could get help because MOTU would not help them. And no that was NOT started by MOTU lol

    What I hate about MOTU is more about how crappy they treat there customers than anything else. Since I got to deal with allot of these guys first hand I saw all the political BS that goes on. MOTU seems to have one employee that really helps customers and everyone else there seems to not care...
