Thanks Mad - thats what i meant when i said rounded out...it almost has a unison effect, like chorus fx with some drums - but others i havent been able to tell as much?.... Your recomendation of using a boomy kick with a dryer kick was actually what i was doing first - but i found myself eq'ing... -

You can always try simply eq'ing it first through tha mixer *(add more bass, but not too much or youll start clipping - and maybe even cutting some of tha treb...this will give a slight flat effect, but with moderation it can give more depth) Also you can always compress your bass or use tha... -

Raider - I know you can stuff like that in CoolEdit 2...But it also anihilates alot of tha quality of other sounds that you still want to exist. My advice would be that you could see if it works for you in CEP2...and if it doesnt, its back to diggin for those pristine samples that we all want... -

thanks for replying you guys...I wasnt sure if using tha exact sound a second time was maybe a bad idea or not - being that maybe it rounds it out too much or whatever...But thats cool i got some feed back cuz for a while i was trying to layer other snares on top of my first snare to get tha... -
