why do many established producers have 1 CDJ1000 (or similar CD turntable)
i only have one... i used to despise C-DJs, but once i started doing shows, i wanted to rock my beats on something other than a discman, something with more control, so i copped one... i sample off it rarely, i prefer vinyl, but it's great for cuing up your own tracks and using them in a dj... -

i copped the cdj-800 for 400, when it was running for $800... the price has dropped since then to i think $600, its def. worth it, ive had mine for a couiple years NO PROBLEMS... the difference has nothing to do with the platter, i think its some technical shit, im not real sure.. all i know... -

answers.... 1: The CDJ 800 i pretty much the same thing, for a better price.. i am just happy with that 2. Yea, sometimes ill tweak the pitch before i sample, to avoid software stretching... the CDJ has a WIIIIIDE pitch control as well.. 3. yea , for hooks and shit.. if you listen to... -

I have a CDJ-800 i use for live shows... I also use it to just sample from cd as well, and i use it to scratch my MCs vocals when requested.. also, it comes in handy to be able to scratch anything you want -

beat sales
most cats i deal with want every track on a separate .wav file, i.e. kick.wav, snare.wav, melody.wav, bass.wav ... that way they can dump it into whatever DAW they're using and they can do edits... i got some other crews that just want to sit in with me on the mixing/sequencing sessions, and... -
need a nice synth board to compliment my mpc 1k
damn, im in the exact situation as well... im strictly sample-based, but i would like a nice lil module to use with the 1k for some added sounds -
Loading sounds on to MPC
yah subfolders wont load on the 1k.. you gotta go to your load screen, press the right arrow cursor botton, and select the folder that contains the samples... if it's still screwy, try to just load some of the samples that are not loading manually, one by one.. if that works, re-organize your sounds -
What do you think about music file-sharing?
i download everything. If i like it, I buy it on VINYL. hopefully one day i can download records lol. If i dont like it, straight to the recycle bin. I love it. CD's arent worth shit anyways (to manufacture) Artists make lots of money touring (which they should) Record execs...- DJ Hoppa

practice man.... in the beginning, your style WILL sound like other shit, cause those are your influences... just keep doing it, keep those rhymes, record them, study them, and keep writing more... dont throw anything away, push it to the fullest ive taken MCs that were "so-so" in the...- DJ Hoppa
