i used to despise C-DJs, but once i started doing shows, i wanted to rock my beats on something other than a discman, something with more control, so i copped one... i sample off it rarely, i prefer vinyl, but it's great for cuing up your own tracks and using them in a dj...

i copped the cdj-800 for 400, when it was running for $800... the price has dropped since then to i think $600, its def. worth it, ive had mine for a couiple years NO PROBLEMS...
the difference has nothing to do with the platter, i think its some technical shit, im not real sure.. all i know...

I also use it to just sample from cd as well, and i use it to scratch my MCs vocals when requested.. also, it comes in handy to be able to scratch anything you want

yah subfolders wont load on the 1k.. you gotta go to your load screen, press the right arrow cursor botton, and select the folder that contains the samples... if it's still screwy, try to just load some of the samples that are not loading manually, one by one.. if that works, re-organize your sounds
