There are same damn good beats here and if it wasn't on the Olympics theme I would be seriously struggling to vote. I can see where some have taken a different approach / angle but I did expect more of the Epic, Heroic type of beat. Well done to all.

I did just that. I didn't think the new theme should be anything like the old. I don't like that whole fanfare type of vibe. Not one bit.
So when you say you should vote in the theme then who is to say the new Olympics theme would be something like the old one?
Sometimes what you need is something completely new.
Clearly most people thought somewhat the same since almost no one went with the vibe of the old theme. But still many of them were "Olympic" to my ears even without the fanfares and heroic vibe.
You left it open to interpretation with the whole "what you think".

@Vossi Beats, I'm with ya, it's all about creativity and each individuals interpretation of their own Olympic themed beat. For me and what the Olympics represents I need to hear something that fires me up and leaves me with a 'I can do anything' feeling. Fuck it, i'm so inspired now i'm gonna run out the door in any random direction and keep going forest gump style, should be back for the results.....

I simultaneously agree and don't with this. As i also had some of the thought myself.
I mean... each person is gonna make something (hopefully) in a way they feel is Olympic worthy.
But then the people voting who are looking to vote for something Olympic sounding may also have their own idea of what sounds Olympic. So they might not even see the "Olympic" ones as Olympic. And that's fair...
But...
I guess there still is a somewhat overall 'feel' of what people may feel is Olympiccy.
Maybe some people go 'fuck the them, it's ambigious I'ma just submit a random dope beat and hope to cheese it',
but similarly, peoples skill level --- some people might struggle coming up with melodies or vibes they intend to in the first place, so then to have to match a specific vibe when their skillset somewhat lacks. Can be tricky, and why some may not sound Olypmic.
But still, that's part of it. If you had a brief that said make a new Olympic theme. I guess it's a test of skillset and ability to tackle a theme.
Like you can go off-piste ... but it still has to say to people 'Olympics'.
Like something can take an unusual direction and be like 'oh wow, didnt expect that but it works', but just 'cause things are interpretable ddoesn't mean something off-centre fits by default.

This was very much the same direction I wanted it to go. But at the same time I wanted it to be "Ghetto Olympics". Because where do most gold medalist grow up?

But yeah, people have hopefully managed to make what they feel is Olympic, and hopefully are voting for what they feel is Olympic.

it was me.....Who ever made a beat and didn't even care enough to use loops with matching bpm or key let alone do anything at all to adjust them or mix/master. Just threw a bunch of random crap together and uploaded it.

Wasn't @Stona Persona either. I think it may have been someone who made their first beat ever not long ago. And I actually feel bad calling it out like that. But I cant help it I have Tourettes, ADHD and low self esteem which means I often say stupid shit unintentionally.
So if you ever see a dude walking very fast with weak posture and his face towards the ground while screaming incoherent profanities, then it just might be me.
