Yeah...The thing is..we all here think our beat is the dopest shit and we deserve to pass into the next round, but others doesn't share your opinion and that is the hard truth that we must accept, and take a closer look into our own beats....and say...well...this beat is whack

If I didnt go back to my Wildflower flip with less than an hour to go then I wouldnt have won that round.

Exactly, music is a subjective art. We all have different influences and find different things dope.
I just wanted to take it back to boom bap with my own twist after losing to a great sampled beat last time.

As producers we have to accept that hard fact, we can make music that is both loved and hated in equal measure, its at that point that you realise the nature of art.

FL Studio has helped me crack the mixing nut finally, its so transparent I can hear every detail. I made a reggae beat today that is so fucking crispy clean, Ive amazed myself.
