I posted this late on the last showcase so i gotta repost it here.

I made this beat recently, digged it weeks ago though. i was too tired to fix drum timing so it's a little off, and i didn't even try to mix it. besides All those i need to know if it's dope or not, like can you find any flaws? does it sound good in total? is it a good sample? did i do it in the right way ? and ... Thanks

Been working with Memento and I think Ive finally learned trap, and heres my first attempt at a trap beat

@ArvinArmani I like the sample its across between some classical music and some middle eastern music, I like the vocal chop, yeah your right, the drums could use some work. Id say its dope and put the extra work in

Chief ...this is it. this is the type of melody where you could switch from boom-bap to trap drums really well, nice work

arvin armani- the mix isn't bad imo...but what do I know? I'm still working to perfect my mixes. Maybe some filtering to get rid of static noise?
2 good- dope! trap feel with boom bap drums...inspired.
marc duncan- nice! bring the melody down a tad and let the drums flourish.
no it's just that whenever i post something here, people start focusing on my mixing skills while i didn't even try to mix. actually they tell me my mixing sucks Every Single Time i posted a beat here :D many people said that and didn't even say anything bout the drums, sample, etc. so im just a lil bit pissed off and whenever i post a beat, i clarify that i didn't even try to mix lol

btw im gonna listen to y'all soon, i just woke up from an exhausting nap

...well when you do decide to mix you won’t have much to do. Grace and Peace

Heres another one hot off the presses, now I have finally figured out trap hi hats and snare rolls, Im really inspired. Havent had this much fun with music for years.

@skidflow Let Go. This is really dope, the mix sounds really nice, my only critique is that the hi hat could be a little louder and boosted at around 12,000 hz to make it sparkle, a bit of hall reverb on the hi hat would be nice too, apart from that, its dope.
The rifleman. This is really dope too, again the hi hat could be louder and the snare could be louder too. This beat is crazy, in a good way. Also, get them headphones. Glad I got mine, its taken the guesswork out of mixing at home.

hello everyone, my name is mike , i havent been on here in a long time, been going through one of the toughest years in my 33 years of living, but im doing better now and ive looked towards music to help me get out of my depression. since my last login not much has changed as far as my music style and taste but i do have alot of collaborations that i was blessed to be apart of so far in 2019, one of which is producing records for an artist of mine and having his new music video drop on halloween, anyways enough about me, i love checking out peoples beats

@ArvinArmani man who dont love nice clean chops i love how the strings were arranged throughout the beat, very easy to rap over and ive thought of some dope bars as i was listening to it, simple and not any changes to the drums made this a dope freestyle beat in my mind, i enjoyed all minute 40 of it

@2GooD Productions this is a dope beat man i wouldnt get all caught up with the labels of your shit, because you really showed out on this one and if it took working with @Memento Beats to get there then congrats, i didnt get the "trap" feel to it it was definately more in the realm of dirty south, the drums were sick, felt like a drummer on a drum set was guiding me like a rock record
2nd beat is cool, im curious if you quiet out all the drums, that it could possibly sound like the dopest movie soundscore of all time lol...dude i would look into harmonic minor melodies to give your stuff that murderous horror key that i think your looking for, if im incorrect i apoligize

@Marc Duncan forgive me i cant hear the bass or the mix for that matter because im at work, i dont know who lil mosey is, but its cool it just kinda simple but maybe thats what lil mosey likes in his beats , shout out to that afro samurai graphic though, the melody is repetative i would added some progression or different chords or something

@TRIPLE EIGHT im just talking about the beat, not the song, i think its kinda weak, im sorry but theres so much sace that needs filled in my mind, sometimes simple is dope but this is more like plain toast, talking about the beat, i like the sample choice but you need to go back and get more freaky with this man

@EsquireMusic111 i will never say a bad thing about this man right here, real musicians deserve all the credit coming to them

@2GooD Productions another beat homie? man i hope you like comment and share my shit bro lol, this actually is my favorite one ive heard from you, somebody started on a hook i wouldve had you finish the shit cuz it sounds like a dope mix, reminds me of some take me to church shit i like this alot!!!

ok heres the beat i made for my artist upcoming single The Walkin Dead

About Caught in a trap, i don't like the sound selections for drums. the choir is Pretttty dope, but it's not fitting in the beat, both the hook choir and the staccato choirs. the sound selection with the instruments wasn't good too, i'd lower the bass octave by 1 if i was u. the way u made the hook was awesome but again, not fitting to the whole beat. in total, you did good, but you couldn't make it a trap beat in a decent way. the things u put in the beat were dope, but they didn't have anything to do with eachother, the vibes that each instrurment gave was random, therefore it was just a load of dope melodies and chords that don't have anything to say.

Strange was better. something about it is bothering me and idk what it is. it's good in total, gives a good vibe, its unique, leaves space for the rapper, everything is good. except i think it should be more aggressive. like add a Piano with a really low octave that hits 1 note once in a while, at least surprise the listener or hype him up a lil bit. also maybe double the kicks at some points idk. anyways these are minor ideas. the major idea is that you should give more life to this beat. besides that i think you still have a liiiiiittttttttttle bit of problem at sound selection.

Damn man, i hope you get better. whatever happens keep making beats! you're awesome at that shit.

On your beat, the snare makes me wanna kill myself. TOO THIN! i mean i don't like many drum selections of other beatmakers because they choose thin snares, but i don't say anything cuz it's just my taste. but your snare ... its way too thin. your bassline is awesome, the melody is awesome, everything is dope, specially at the high parts. tho i think ur overusing the vocal chop. also the beat sounds kinda dirty ... like it's distorted. idk if you did that on purpose or not though.
the way you wen't down at 1:54 was awesome, the way you came back up was good too, the whole idea of goin down and back up was also good. tho i think the hat shouldn't have been there.
in total, i get great vibes, and the structure of the beat was really good, the bass sound was awesome (can u teach me how u did that? :D) but the snare and hat you picked weren't the best you could pick, and also did u know nexus is not the only thing u can use ? :D
