Let's hope this Showcase gets more activity than the last one. That one beat I couldn't get to export was meant for this thread, but I made something else in the meantime.
Nothing here yet.

@tomkillsjerry
The three note bassline on "Where I Go" seems out of place. It's not exactly off-key, but I don't really like it. The synth part is cool, nice ambiental vibe on this one.

I don't really get the point behind the other one - I could do that using VLC in less than four mouse clicks. It sounds pretty artifacted too.

yes you got skill and I like how de vocals at end of song do dat delay and I like how you got song going left to right auto pan style and your bass is bass yet is smooth blended with the bass of your sounds thrue out the entire song you got real style and is smooth style and I say yes sir salut respect big up up up to you drago zetic no joke and no other reason why I say it and like your this song seeeeen big up

Eyy Lance, your track makes me somewhat confused 'cause the drums are not in sync with the bpm of the lead melody. That's just my opinion, but nonetheless, your track has potential for some like techno clubs genre I think. :biggrin::up2:

@Lance rr poplar @LANCE R POPLAR What @JC.A said. The beats sound like loops put together from various sources without proper arrangement, it's like they were experiments produced without sound on. The drum tracks often go off beat in a bad way. The music seems to lean towards general electronic music more than hip hop. The video names make the impression that you don't want anybody to search for them from YouTube. Also, why did you register twice?

register what what did I register 2 times ?

First off, I recommend you to post all your thoughts at once and not clutter the thread with multiple messages. As for the drums, well, the tempo is a simple idea and it's there to be followed. Turn on a metronome with your desired BPM and listen. I don't see how it could be problematic to make a drum pattern stay on beat. The thing is, you put some loops or whatever and then tried to chop them differently, but then they'd get off beat.

and dat you are exstremely high skilled at making bass sound and other sounds appear to be drum sounds

Once again, don't flood the thread like that. You can do that in the shoutbox.
Back to your question: I don't. Instead, I use a piano-style keyboard and Fruity Loops.
By the way, such matters would be more relevant in a private message than a specialised thread like this.

yes sir yet I don't know what I did dat don't keep dem together so explain when got time
big up respect

@Lance rr poplar
First off, I am not really experienced (out of all the ideas I recorded, only 7 beats got made out of them). I've collected a bunch of drum loops, but I don't use them. Instead, I try to find isolated drum hits in music I listen to. Then I chop and save them to a folder with all the other samples. In FL, I arrange them by making a bunch of patterns so that the beat doesn't get repetitive (same goes for the melodies). The basics of making a drum pattern have already been explained much better than what I feel like doing right now: https://www.illmuzik.com/threads/what-is-the-best-way-to-create-a-drum-pattern.34461/

@Lance rr poplar I smell a no true Scotsman argument here... Listen, the computer doesn't do anything in regards of composition and arrangement. It's just a tool to get the ideas out faster. What is an MPC if not a small, basic and stripped down computer made specifically for music arrangement and recording?
