I was just wondering what yall thought the next big production trend will be. Right now it seems like sped up soul samples and vocals are big. Also, that middle eastern type of music is getting popular, so whats next?

i think you can give your opinion on what it will be without giving too much away. I'm not saying name what songs think will be sampled next, i just mean in general. i.e. i think producers are going to go for a real mellow, less is more kinda sound. The bul 9th wonder is starting to get real big, and he is gonna be on the Black album. So i think more people will start emulating his sound. after the 1st blueprint dropped everyone started using soul samples again, now people will do whateva the black album sounds like

i feel u, but what exactly is a party track? i mean whatever is hot is what get played in the club or at a party. "H to the izzo" sounds completely different from Prodigy's "Quiet Storm", but both used to get spins at the club.

Why you got to wait for them to come. Be an artist not a copycat. Not callin' you one, but that shouldn't matter. You make a hot mellowed out track, make it "HOTT" and put it out. You da producers is what brings new sounds and styles. Alwayz do what cha feel.

I don't know what the next production trend will be but, apart from making tracks that are similar to todays trend in my own style, I also try to experiment in order to hopefully be the next new trend.

hip hop is hip hop, timbaland is making country hip hop tracks, hip hop runs the world right now, turn on the tv look outside...if it sounds good people are gonna feel it, but u might have to tell people that eminem did it put a pac verse on it some biggie ad libs and 50 on the chorus so it can blow up.

if your in the midwest/southren illinoise/etc, all yor going to hear is THE ONLY thing they play. nelly/missy elliot/sean paul/50 cent/etc...

speed up sample beat songs arent to common around here.

infact, the only sont with a speed up vocal sample that got played on our radio stations was oh boy..

If we dont start havin REAL Rappers again (Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Warren G, Pac, BIG, Eminem, Xzibit, Rakim, Nas, Wu-Tang Clan, Cappone-N-Nore(aga) etc.), And we continue havin pussy's (Chingy, Nelly and all them, Ludacris, Big Tymers, Cash-Money), then the world is gonna come to an end, and real fast.
Nobody gives a fuck about your money, your ice, how much of a pimp you are, how you are so fuckin stupid that you'd pay $10,000 for some shiny hunks of aluminum ("dubs"), or none of that. Nobody Cares! Wut happened to the good old days where you bought records that talked about drive-by's, and the people who talked about it, actually did it in real life?
Rap is goin no-where fast right now. And ("my 2 cents") I think its getting way too easy to sell records when your fake. If you listen to Chingy's "Right Thurr" track, that is a BUNCH OF BULLSHIT!!! I cant believe somebody could make money selling that!! Yea, the beats okay, but it sounds more like slow-techno then rap!
We need to change this industry around. Or there wont be such thing as Rap(/Hip-Hop) soon.

and now its my turn to disagree....i think luda was misplaced in your post also, hes one of the most versatile rappers out now, and ive been a luda hater since he first came out, but im a fan now cuz he does have skills lyrically and hes a cool ass nigga, and we dont need anymore "rappers" we need more "lyricist" and "MC's" like nas, eminem pac, Ras kass prodigy, Wu tang, capone (noreagas a rapper)....
anybody else notice how snoops is like jordan from live, sure hes ok now but dont we all wish we could unlock Snoop from 1993.
