Effect on Sample

Anybody have any idea what effect was used on this sample to make it sound like that?

Like Yannfer said, it sounds reversed. I also hear some kind of delay effect as well.
Maybe a tiny touch of distortion and some saturation too, but I'd have to hear the original.

I thought it was reversed at first too but it's not... just some effects. i remade the beat just can't get the effects right. i'm on beatmaker 3 on ipad not many effects to use

I listened to the song that was sampled ("Girl Blue") and you're right. I think it just sounds reversed because of the way it was chopped.

I think the effect you're talking about is just some type of funky delay.

I'm not familiar with Beatmaker 3, but if you can use 3rd party vst's I would try using Valhalla Supermassive or Valhalla Frequency echo. They are both free.

yup one of the chops makes it sound reversed. maybe reverb and there's definitely a low pass... thanks for the VST's i'll check those out

It sounds like they automated a low pass, pitched it down, (possibly gated it?) and put flanger on it.

I already remade it. Just trying to learn by remaking beats.. Thanks for the video, i could be wrong but i think he did an extra chop.. i only did 3 chops but it still sounds good
