well, i dont want to hash it all up. I'm new here and dont want to be that dude talking trash, etc.

but here are some links that will give you an idea of what i meant. basically my lack of support boils down to BK being unprofessional about it all. you are always gonna have haters and get flack, and get scrutinized. but how you respond speaks loudly.

if you willing to sift through all of this, there is alot of comedy.

beat kangs and beat thang actually didnt start out with the dallas guy. along somewhere there was outward fighting between kang members, forum memebers,etc. basically drama all round.

here are several more threads, after that first one, alot of folks at mpc forums became weary and from then on most beat kang related threads turned into comedy:

I've seen other threads on other forums, and alot of similar sentiments from folks about thier marketing stuff, but not the same type of bashing as mpc-forums.

BTW. I'm not posting this to propell argument or bashing. im just letting you guys know what happened. I have taken the personal stance to just stay away from that company. I'm happy if the product is good. and I always saw potential in it, but from what ive seen doesnt match up to what I personally expected. and reading reviews about the virtual software, what makes me thing the hardware will be any better?

I see more potential in some of these new IOS apps, and maschine. I'm hoping akai will release a mpc controller for the ipad or iphone (like thier synthstation 49 but straight up to replace the mpc with a killer app). but alot of things have changed tech wise since beat thang was started

yea... ive read those... i personally dont care... this is one of the few times, arrogance wont bother me, most likely bcuz i actually like the machine... but had it been something else, i would be in cahoots with alot of other people, and wouldnt get it... not sure how its sellin, but nothin has changed my mind, other than an ipad.. who knows, i might have both at the start of next yr.

That's not a lot of units.....and heaven forbid you get a lemon unit that needs a replacement part or two....

I mean if you post in an MPC forum about ANYTHING other than an MPC you will get beat down.

Its like going to an Reason forum and posting about how FL is better. Its gonna get ugly ha ha

If I were a fan of their vision, their marketing strategies, their hardware samplers or whatever...I wouldn't let this stop me from buying it...I think anyone that wants to try this gear out - should!

I don't think its for me, but I'm not gonna dis their attempt either. Only time will label this venture as a success or failure and it hasn't had time yet so we shall see.

My gripe about it is how they market it...and don't have any type of reputation with anything prior...

But to then ruin that reputation with extremely unprofessional remarks towards those who MAY purchase your product

I still feel the price tag is way too steep for something that isn't proven.

when a reputable company drops something expensive, you know for the most part what you're going to get with it.... Now if they dropped this with a price tag similar to Maschine, I would say it's worth the risk....But you could get a refurb intel mac, with maschine and a usb interface for the price of the BT..... And I'm just comparing the price....

Going into a MPC forum calling it an MPC killer is ridiculous.....every time something came out that said it was the something killer, it was killed by the killee.


I remember when Sprint dropped the Samsung Instinct and said it was the "iPhone Killer"....the Instinct became the laughing stock of all Sprint phones, since it was probably one of the worst phones ever made.....Sprint had to drop a lot of dope phones to make up for it.
