Exactly what Jewel said....Don't go to a school to learn to make beats....A school cant teach you that....Creativity is all you.....They can teach you some things that will help your beats eg. how to properly EQ, compress, filter differnt things, but even then, a lot of it is how YOU would like it to sounds.....
Full Sail produces world class engineers....As a matter of fact, every single RECORD OF THE YEAR at the GRAMMY'S for the past 10 years, was recorded or mixed by a Full Sail grad....If you look at the charts, about 80% of the tracks or albums on the charts had some sort of involvement with Full Sail graduates....IT IS the best school in the world, but if you have no interest in being an Engineer, then I wouldn't reccommend the school.....
BOTTOM LINE, If you love music, and would like a career in the field, go to Full Sail....If producing is the only thing you wanna do, spend the money on some hot ass equipment, and start banging out tracks...Then work your ASS off and start sending out demo's left right and center....every single record label....every single management group....every single artist you can....build a rep.....hit all the shows.....network with everyone you can.....build relationships.....thats the only way you're gonna make it, unless you get real lucky.....
IN MY OPINION, ITS NOT WHAT YOU KNOW, ITS WHO YOU KNOW....
look at how many hot ass producers there are out there without a deal, not selling tracks, just doing their basement thing....then you can look at some mediocre producers out there like Swizz Beats, and Manny Fresh who are ballin cuz they made decent beats, but knew a shit load of big names to sell em to.....
Anyways this is gettin long...in the end, you gotta do you....then everything is everything....feel me?
