would it be correct to say that Old Soul music is that most sampled genre?
I dunno maybe?....I hear a lot of 70's rock shit too tho, as well as disco era stuff, shit also classical....lots a classical. As far as why?....I say YES. They grew up on that shit, but also, more importantly - the sample fit the mood, the song structure, etc. -

Thats why they call them "send effects"....You route them to yer sends and then use yer prefaders. I religiously route all my shit manually and use this method everytime an effect is added for the simple reason that i want the utmost amount of countrol possible over every sound that needs to be... -
