Frankie - I never heard of WaveEditor, but i kno just about all trial versions have their limitations.... For example - Some dont allow u to use the mp3 codecs, while others deny you to export your file from the prgm.....Or, they just act as a fully functional prgm for about 15-30 days, and... -

Exactly, Emotions are always perfect to spawn new ideas, but next to the ordinary....Things like: When i "paint", or create other works of art whether it be computer based or on my pad, i tend to feel ideas for music through its creation oddly enough....Also, being slightly related to "moods"...- Shonsteez

why do people "Gate" their drums?
Word, cuz it started with hardware anwyways.....Personally, i usually do like NNXT said also, and simply shorten the sound to the desired length rather then gating on the regular, tho on rare occasions i do use a verb-gate....like he said, its all for feel...:) -

Yeah, it comes down to personal pref. unfortunately, even tho i know thats not the answer you rlooking for.... Personally, i like to usually drop a light reverb on my snares....I dont like to drown them, just use enough to add that lasting flavor so to speak....I tend to not use entirely... -

Like 9zeros said, Audacity is the bomb for a free app....Its rock solid and never crashes....Whats funny is i have all the appz mentioned up above and i always like to cut my sampled in audacity still over the others!.....I dunno why?...Maybe cuz thats what i started on?....But, what i like is... -
