    Gibson buys Cakewalk from Roland

IDK Roland is not the right company for them. But Gibson has a 100% fail rate on software acquisitions. Opcode studio vision was this amazing DAW back in the day Gibson bought and killed them in a hurry. Gibson kills almost every company they purchase. Its crazy! If you are using Sonar I would...

How do you feel about sampling MP3?

Well Spotify is actually OGG not mp3 behind the scenes so it is a bit higher quality. But I just hated having my house so cluttered with vinyl and moving with it UGH. Now I just use my iphone like a deck and have a sampling playlist in spotify that put stuff in and its great to digital dig that...

How do you feel about sampling MP3?

I sample from Spotify all the time. WAYYYY better than sampling off vinyl. I have sold all my records and am looking to sell my last deck. Sample everything as long as it sounds good!

    Novation Bass Station II review

Well I think you are missing the point, in that the Bass station was a more customizable TR303 with these crazy sub oscillators. Thats what made the bass station so great. And real analog synths are all the rage these days. You know I would rather be rocking software, but the Bass station does...

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

Ya, but Maschine runs like a standalone peace as well(does need a computer but you can turn off the computer screen if you like). And is REALLY fast to work in, Watch this video and you can see what I mean honestly man I don't know that I would buy a full on hardware peace these days. FL is...

    Welcome!

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

No the workflow of the Maschine software is much faster than Ableton or FL, so it is not the same at all and in fact superior to an MPC, PS the new MPC ren is in the same boat as Maschine, standalone boxs are dying fast. But I did give proper criticisms of both machines if you read what I...

    Do you mostly order online?

yea for fruit and veg I will probably buy in the store, but other things like flower, beans, rice etc I will order online. Actually I have been playing with this store in town that I can order everything on the web site, and for $10 they will bag it all and have it ready to go when I get there...

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

No Maschine is not standalone. But I would venture to say that is both more powerful that either an mp or mv and better sounding assuming you have good ad/da converters in your computer. Btw think beat thang will ever take off?

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

The MV is discontinued and the MPC is still current, so I would probably go that route.

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

umm, nope. No they where not. All sampled off vinyl. At any rate. The Roland is MUCH more powerful than ANY MPC but is considerably harder to use and learn. PS FL studio is already more powerful than any MPC. But Maschine is faster than everything we have discussed. Coming from someone that has...

    Akai Mpc5000 Vs. Roland Mv8800 ?

well a sampler gives out whatever you put in. And both the MPC5k and Roland MV are DIGITAL samplers. So they literally should all sound pretty darn similar. Get the one that has the best workflow for your needs, but saying Mashine sounds digital is simply not a good way to compare those three...
