How to get crisp vocal samples????
i would suggest cutting the lows, and just mix it in like that... if there are any hits or percussion sounds within the samplee, chop and adjust so that it is in time with your beat... usually, only the vocals will really shine through, and the rest of the instrumentation on the sample will... -

it allows you to create entire mpc programs on the PC, without the MPC attached... you could make yourself all kinds of dope kits, then dump them on your CF card, load em up, and start banging them out.. -

Why have a mixing console?!?
People really enjoy the hands on control they get with an actual analog console. Not to mention the quality sound some of the high end vintage ones can produce.. The hige consoles have so many aux in/outs and ways to route your signals, it's easy to hook them up to all their crazy preamps and... -
