Foam Pads, or Stands?
Cosign, but if your strapped for cash, those MoPads are pretty good. A homie of mine that lives in LA uses them in his studio and they def reduce vibes.... http://www.zzounds.com/item--AURMOPAD I think u get better imaging from stands tho. -
Quick question on monitors...
Cop some foam on eBay...I did that a while back and furnished my entire studio for 80 bucks. Made a huge difference with standing waves and flutter echoes. Im sure that Auralex shit is the goods but im not even about to spend 300 bucks on one little slab when i can do the whole studio for a... -

Acapella Albums With Good Emcees
J Live and Aesop are both indie rap artists but their both dope. Both albums have already been remixed a shit load of times but not nearly as much as the Jay Z album..... You gotta still cop ProTools tho if u get the M-Audio interface. Just seems more cost effective to get the interface with the software, that is if you really want PT. -

Did u reinstall your drivers for your keyboard? Anytime u reformat your computer your going to need to reinstall every devices driver all over again. -

Another question about Logic 8
You have to use the Score Editor. If your not familiar with the Score Editor you should read up on it in the Logic Manual. But if u got the sheet music u can just copy what u see verbatim to the score editor. Shouldn't be too complicated, it will take u some time tho. -
