Lessons For Up & Coming Producers

Well put Krzy....when it comes down to it a sequencer is a sequencer some might do a lil better job at quantizing etc....but if you learn on Fruity you should definitely be able to take that concept to any priced sequencer and produce.....I started on the SP12 and I am amazed all of the concepts...

    Just Copped A Fantom X-7...hotness!!!!!!

You will either have to hand bang them, but if your timing is off you will have have problems with the sequencer correcting it with quantization even with input quantizing on or if you put it in loop mode and a note overlaps you cant get rid of it easily....also.....if you record in step mode...

Lessons For Up & Coming Producers

The backbone of good patterns comes from lots of listening, or maybe getting some real music theory behind you, not that its necessary but it will take you further in production, you would be surprised at producers that not only make hits but at least play keys or some other instrument, that...

    Just Copped A Fantom X-7...hotness!!!!!!

It won't just be the learning curve to make a simple sequenced track thatz easy but when you start making your custom kits and loading them, and making separate parts switch around you know if you wanna get fancy wit it...thats where the fun begins....I'm not sure of the differences beyond the...

    HIp Hop Evolution

Hip hop still needs to be influenced by the Tru Schoolers in order to keep with the foundation and basic elements.....I think it has become too commercialized and lots of other types of music are absorbing it and making it not so hip hop...even though I listen to and like those other...

    The Fantom -s day 3

Yeah I mean for some the sequencer might work...don't use my word as good or bad but my observation...its a nice board though.....also this is another thing if you looking to bangin in beats with swing I didn't like the job the sequencer does like how the MPC corrects your off timing and puts it...

    The Fantom -s day 3

The track I entered in the last beatcomp was done on the Fantom, but I grew tired of how you set up your own patterns the way that they have you do it is not really efficient for fast production, I like to switch parts, that is not the easiest way to do it besides just making straight banged out...
