Nice post. I'm affraid I'm gonna fall into that basement studio cat though. Well.. i'll be in an apartment in about 3 weeks so I dont see getting a zoning permit or having parking coming anytime soon. Tight post though, I cant wait till i'm at that point in my career.- 5th Sequence

That's true man, I hear you on that. It would also be the artists problem too though, I mean if they bought the beat and had it tracked out in a studio and recorded etc... If they just let the studio have it then the beat they bought could be open to getting jacked. Hopefully they would take...- 5th Sequence

let them hear an mp3 to write to, but deliver them a .wav file. If they bought the beat, it'd be a good idea to send it to them tracked out (if they are serious and are getting it mixed or mastered hopefully). Then again, if they ARE serious then they are going to ASK for it to be tracked...- 5th Sequence

Ah, it's all good. You'll have plenty of people that show interest and then flake out on you. It happens. People arent as "about it" as you'd think, but there are some things out there. Just stay up on elevating and people will recognize your talent for what it is and come to you.- 5th Sequence

if you just send it to a record label it will never get heard. That's just being realistic, they dont have time to listen to all of the demo's they are swamped with, plus they dont listen to them to avoid lawsuits from artists suing them and what not.
