    I've actually started using hat sets from old breaks just to have similar sounding stuff for trying what Hi-Lo said. It deffinately helps to have a choice of different sounds that still match because they come from the same original drum kit.

    As far as effects go on hi hats try tossing a lil delay on em for an extra bit of shuffle... too much and it'll get out of hand but just the right amount and it'll sound dope. For the rythmic pattern I use closed hats and sometimes throw on a semi open for variety and for the extra points try...

    I got my hands on a bundle a while back and use alot of the bass sounds mostly. Isn't the company that puts these out a part of IK? Anyways, the gold pack will deffinately increase the number of sounds you have to play with.

    I just use the template they give in photoshop and make my own it's not that hard. Just match colors and they will all look dope together.

    Best trick to get rid of unwanted sounds on sample

    If the sample doesn't have any bass in it drop a high pass filter on it and see if you cant dull the kick out a bit more. Otherwise there's not much you can do about it.

    Mixing down in REASON 3.0

    For anything that you want to sound a bit fuller and warmer you can hook a scream 4 set to tape and 9 oclock distruction and 3 oclock master (of course alter to taste) then link it to a default master suite and hook it into one of your aux sends so you can apply it to multiple sounds if needed...

    The way I understood it was the beats got jacked off soundclick or something then that certified dude posted them on rocbattle as his own. Either way that shit pisses me off and seems like another good reason to avoid posting unmarked beats on the internet (if they're good at least)
