    I like soundfonts VST have a sythetic nature and if you are trying to achieve a more realistic sound closer to analog a soundfont is the better choice, also remember that a soundfont in essence is a sample its just been converted, so you can use real basses, instruments, strings etc not...

    they use a shuffle, one of the reasons why is this, listen to some of the samples they use, there a lot of samples from the oooold soul and rnb in the 60's ( especially ballads) that use the shuffle I really dont know if the reason for why they started doing this in their tracks was accidental...

    even more clarity because I was just talking about this....if the curve is over or under it will qualify whether it is a tie or a slur....slur will be on top, tie under...tie means you will hold the note for the added value of the duration and they will more than likely be the same note.... one...

    midi out is for sending a signal from the software to external gear, that is absolutely correct, also if you use it you need make sure that your audio inputs are visible in fruity loops and you have your output from your gear plugged in so you can hear it in Fruity loops and record.......also...

    The only logic behind it really is that it increases the resolution of the space that you can work in, thats just the pure and simple reason why anyone uses this method, as above there are other solutions to the problem....easiest proof is if you use the paint tool in Fruity loops or another...

    If I am programming on my gear and I want fast hats 32nd's, triplets etc I use it when I want to use my good ol beat repeat to add in the hi hats.....its also useful if I use a software grid sequencer for complex percussion and rolls, the kick and snare will be naturally subdivided to the halved...
