Hey Mad! There is no standard when it comes to microphones, people pick them based on what they need for the job and then what sounds best and what they can afford, all those diagrams show is how each mic picks up its signal you can have good vocals using a Shure SM57 or SM58 for about $100...
Hey Mucka don't laugh at me either but what do you think of the Roland MC-909 sampling groovebox compared to the MPC 4000. 2nd place, honorable mention what? I'm not trying to quiz you either but I have heard and played with the 909 at the music store- its Hot, I wish I had it but what sets the...
I started out a lyricist before I ever had a piece of equipment, I love to write, let me use this thread to spit some lyrics for yall quite nicely maybe others are on the same shit:
What I speak heard for miles through your mental/
Drill the temples and no regard for wack simple/
Words...
I'm surpised someone hasn't invented a brain recorder yet, record my dreams lol, but foreal record the beats I hear in my head so clearly, I hear every part, the drums, pads, breakdowns its a masterpiece.
I just heard about this contest in which a sample developer AMG is sponsoring a contest with Propellerhead for the hottest track made by a producer using entirely Reason. The deadline is January 2004, so all you Reason Wizards you have two months to put together some Hot shit if your interested...
Hey WU! I thought this was the production forum and to be honest with you I don't understand whether who copped the new RZA album has anything to do with that. If you would have posted in a more logical place you would have seen my thread, not that I really care, and I'm not trying to be a smart...
Yeah the name FruityLoops does take the legitimacy out of using it, that's why they changed the name officially to 'FL Studio 4'
Regarding the use of both since they're both virtual soft studios and have their pros and cons if you can afford to use both maybe its like having access to The Hit...
The Rode NT1A is an excellent condenser mic, for $199. If you can before you get all this stuff see if it comes with a 30 day money back guarantee, I would hate for you to get anything and be stuck with it. Try it all out and make absolutely sure.
Shure SM57 is another really good all...
Yeah Cope, I believe so, I checked the FruityLoops website rewire should be supported soon. The possibilites are huge on what you could do then, compositions with Fruity and Reason together I had never thought about that but shit yeah why not use the best of both worlds!!
Something else to think about, just a few pros and cons:
IF your looking for a stand-alone all in one option go for Reason!
(You can use rewire into Cubase or something to get your VST's)
FL Studio is an open environment, VST's, DX, and other third party plugins like native instruments...
I'm not trying to be arrogant because I'm not but I'm very confident in my skills to make a Hot track! I'm definetly not in my prime yet and I'm always working on areas I need to improve my production skills. It takes time and knowledge and experience IS the key.
Yeah Meth, Rae, and Ghost are the next upcoming albums that hopefully the Wu-Tang crew shines on. Ghostface though hardly ever dissapoints me on his albums, he always has some shit.
I hold Rza in high regard but tell me what is so ill about the latest album, maybe a couple joints but I was dissapointed. Also I already posted something about this album cats should scan the forum a little before posting redundantly.
I just came across this site it's HOT really informative for the up and coming producers like us!! They have over 60 interviews with top recording producers and engineers all over the country that provide their tips and tricks of the trade. Check it out peeps let me know what you guys think...
Yes please do mucka that's what we need more of on this site, instead of all the shit talk lets show and prove more tips scientific explanations on why one is better than the other.
Sonar is a very good recording sequencing package and is geared towards musicians and artists who don't have all the money to spend on a Pro Tools system but still want the high quality recordings.
There really shouldn't be all the debating they serve different purposes, Pro tools comes with...
What was the initial topic?
oh yeah Fruity Loops or Reason, well if you guys really want to find out what you perceive is better for production, why don't someone put up a track made in Reason and put up a track made in FruityLoops Studio and lets see what the outcome is, lets judge it based...
maybe I missed something but why don't you just use rewire to run the reason sequence inside of Cubase or Sonar if you have access to these programs, I'm not sure if rewire works in cool edit pro. This would be a lot cleaner that what you guys suggested above, I don't use Reason but a friend of...
