Whats the weirdest thing that you recieved as payment for a beat?
These people gave me their bad kids for the weekend once. Somehow that didn't quite do it for me. I guy gave me 3 CDs of breakbeats. That was real cool at the time.- DJ Xsinna

Bagpipes?
I've flipped some bagpipes on one of our joints. It came out pretty sick. Click on the soundclick page for Royal Priesthood and you will hear it. "The Day Prayer Came Back To School". I really into incorporating instruments and sounds that you don't really hear in hip hop. -
Who's your keys made by?

producing how many years?
I've been at it for about 16 years. I started with turntables, Roland 909, Alesis SR16, Dual tape decks and a Fostex 4 Track Recorder. In 95 I upgraded to an ASR-10 then later added the MPC 2000. Been cratediggin' that long also. -

Yes, you can run an MPC though a DJ Mixer to your home speakers. That's how I did it for a long while. The MPC can run itself you don't need a computer or keyboard to rock it - those tools just enhance and take full advantage of the MPC's capabilities. If your thing is just sampling then your... -

Hi-Tek's "best friend"- production question
I haven't heard the sample you are talking about but, Hi-Tek's gift is the way he EQ's his junk. His sound is based on the way he EQs' everything. I would imagine that he pulled another EQ rabbit trick on that sample. He's a master at that.
