MPC Troubles
MPC2000XL - 18mb - no other options Ok, this is what has been happening with me. 1. I create disk using MPCEDITOR V3 and export to disk....(all is well so far). 2. I insert my disk into my mpc...(worked fine)..hehe. 3. I proceed to load my disk, but sometimes some of the waves... -

Mixer in my set up!!!
Well, I must say that a digital mixer can make a hell of a difference. Checkout the specs on the Behringer DDX3216. It has built in effects and a world of possibilities without buying a bunch of outboard gear. But some outboard gear can be useful together with the mixer. -

I connected my yamaha djx-1 into my roland cdx-1 which has cosom effects (guitar modeling effect) in it...it sounded mad sick. -

I have a Roland CDX-1 and if you don't have patience, I don't recommend you get it. It was a mistake for me to buy it, but It has some good sampling capablities also, so I kept it. I recommend a korg or akai, if you really want to get a digital workstation. The CDX-1 can eat up some CDRW's... -

Well, I just snatched it out the box and plugged in sum 1/4 TRS to my keyboard, connected my near fields and tape out/in to my digital recorder and dat shit rocked straight out da box. mpc 2000xl question
Ok, Im about to cop a MPC 2000xl and the question is. how long can I stay afloat with a MPC with a floppy drive? How many kits can a floppy hold? I want to add a zip to it at least, but I don't want to buy it with one in it already. I think I'll do it for cheaper installing it myself. -

I think the computer recording is good for a home setup, but if you wanna do some club gigs or parties or something, unless you have a laptop its gonna be a struggle. I suggest getting all the hardware gear you can then invest on a pc setup for when don't wanna gig..thats if you do any gigs at... -
