Ah, I think you should learn something about chords (and chord progression). It's not that difficult if you learn to hear the harmony between notes (except for jazz chord progressions, they can be quite steep to master). Right now all the instruments are doing a different thing fighting to... -

I think the sample work and trumpet are dope. However the drums just don't go well with the vibe of the instruments. I think keeping it simple is key here. Just kick snare kick snare and simple hi hats would do (maybe look for some jazzy one shots, add a brush or whatever). Let the instruments... -
Question For The ILL Vets (And Noobs)

There's still some dissonance and clipping going on. Dissonance is when two or more tones clash and create a harsh, unpleasant sound. More about this subject here: Dissonance -

Same here. When i'm stuck at a project (read lazy stoned) I tend to reiterate over some old beats and try to give it a better mix or make something new with the same sounds. -

Yep, i'm pretty sure it's hip hop... :LOL: But seriously though, I think for SC it doesn't make a big difference if you tag your beats. I guess only for the more established artists but still... Listened to a few of them and they're pretty dope. For how long have you been making beats? -
