if you aint hell bent on crazy mad expensive shit, i might suggest the yamaha n-8 or n-12. they both do a fn nice job of doing what you asked about in the first place, and it doubles up as your control surface/mixer. nuff said. -

midi out from mpc to fantom rack, midi in from keyboard to mpc, set channel for mpc track to fantoms operating channel. not to sure if the mpc has a midi echo feature, but thats the term im familiar with. -

never got a chance to listen and check up on what your talkin bout, but my guess is you might be lookin for portamento, and portamento time. tweakin those two options with a sampler will get you a nice pitch shifting at a constant defined by the "portamento time" just a stab at it.. like i said...
