YOUR OPINION: Must have cd's...

Most of the people i see that are just gettin into rap and hip-hop almost never get an old cd. They only get some new release once in a while or a new Pac mixtape or something. But im always tryin to keep up with new ones while learnin the old too.

Like if you read in the Source and you here someones name but never heard none of their shit, i write it down and get one of there cd's when i go back to the store.

anyway, i want you to post 3 of the albums you think are must have's. "must have's", meaning: An album that tons of people bite off of. One that is almost flawless, or changed everything.

Helix Picks:

Dr. Dre - Chronic 2001
I dont know if that needs an explanation. Dre started rhymin better around the time this came out. ALL the beats were like nothing else. Perfect.

Jay-Z - BluePrint2: The Gift & The Curse
Im not the hugest Jigga fan, but i think i'd be clueless to a lot of things right now if i never heard that album. Jigga had a whole semi-new arsenault of producers for this album too. And Two cd's worth of material.

Notorious B.I.G. - LIFE after DEATH
I think this album could be the MOST bitten or copied album of all time. "Kick In The Door/ Wave In The 4-4/", "Biggie, Biggie, Biggie... ...can't you see/"
Definition of a classic.

Don't post albums that you thought were "good". Post ones that you learned a lot from, and that changed the game.

PEACE

You asked for Three

How can you deny

Boogie down Productions> the Blueprint
If you've never heard this album, you've missed out on hip hop almost at it's full potentual.

Redman > What the album? Redmans first album was off the chain, he was definaitely in his prime with that album. Tonights the nights, Rated R, supa man lover, that was a ground breaking album that took metaphors to the next level.

2pac > Makavelli
Although a short album, and not that old, I've never heard better mastering in my life. The album is mixed down so well, the warmth is just perfect. Pac's delivery and passion on this album is ground breaking and off the meter, and the production is a perfect match for 2pac. Amazing album, it makes me excited like as if I was watching braveheart. No album has ever done this for me.

There are some other good albums out there, but these three are my top choice.
Honorable mention

N.W.A niggas4life
N.W.A maxi single > 100 miles and running
Eazy-E Eazy's 1st album

Although I wouldn't listen to it nowwa dayz and they are grossly negative, they where clever and produced above standards.
