Honestly though, Dre is not some untouchable man especially if you are in G-Unit and have access to the same things he does. That amazing sound comes from the industries top engineers and other people he pays I wouldn't call him a musical genius, just a business genius. I think half the people on these forums could sound amazing if they got to use that studio and resources they have. When you are starting off with sounds that are on fire in the first place its not hard to make a hot track, especially when you can just hand it to the engineer and get it fixed up all nice and pretty.
i disagree. alchemist, denaun porter, hi-tek, focus, all of these dudes who work for aftermath, they have access to these kits and studios. do you hear hi tek making dr.dre shi*? nah, and thats coming from a huge hi-tek fan...
by the way, dre mixes and masters on the fly. most of his engineering is done before it ever touches the master engineer's hands, which is incredible. thats how he gets those drums, and how his mixes just fit together so perfectly.
