I said this a looooong time ago, go study drum rudiments and practice them, go get a practice pad and a pair of sticks any drummer in a marching band or school band should be able to do any of that on a drum machine no problemo! I play and program all of my patterns, very seldom do I use a loop LOL its too easy! but other than that dude in the video definitely has been taught some drum skills, para diddles mostly and flams is what he got going on....but if you never been in any organized school band and had to see the director agonizing over what the drummers were doing and explaining this stuff over and over you can't fully appreciate what a real drummer is doing, he is using solid techniques, rr ll rlrl breakdowns and rolls based on the following depending on the time sig or speed---rlrrlrll--- this cat is not just beating away though he has a drumming background .

don't get me wrong this was dope...but i think it is easier than it looks....I want to hear each pad and see what he's workin with, cuase it seems some of the rolls and crazy stuff were just one pad...but I don't know. If not this shit was ill....damn, i want an mpc again.

dope vid, i do all my drums in reason, with a midi keyboard, not all at the same time, like this cat, i usually start with the kick and snare, then work from there... mad respect to the guy in the vid!!

its not that hard. a little talent, some basic knowledge about rhythm and an hour practice with the samples and any of you guys could do this.
if you can play a bar of straight eights of hihats with one hand and occasional 16s with the other, you can do it.
