I've never used Reason 4.0 but I'm considering buying it. Will my Yamaha Motif 6 be compatible with it through USB?

if you're using the motif as a midi controller for reason 4, then yes.

if you're using the motif for sounds and you want to implement them into reason, then no.

i beg to differ, you can always record riffs from the motif using the headphone output of the motif into the audio in on the soundcard, you can the take the recorded riffs and import them into reason using the nnxt.
Its a little long winded but it works.

motif with reason is a big waste.

why?

isnt more weapons in the arsenal a good thing?

there's no point in spending money on a motif if ur going to use it with reason especially as a midi controller. if he plays something out and records it and then imports through reason after chopping all the sounds and everything, i guess. really time consuming tho. would u do that? or would u use a separate program to just record and make beats for the motif and all the sounds built it in.
