Xzibit: Weapons of Mass Destruction is a very good album.

Well, i must say that The Left's own X-to-the-Z has given us a solid album. i could have done without a couple tracks, "saturday night live" and "crazy ho", to name them.

Oh, but the highlights are GREAT.

"Judgement Day" could well prove to be his "Why". he rocks a smooth, chill gospel flavored track and lyrically lends the type of death "why" lacked to push it over the top. i count htis as one of tyhe best tracks of '04....

the albums biggest gem, to me, is "tough guy", which features the cameo king, Busta Rhymes himself. CLASSIC material. RAW, lyrics, delivery, this is the dopest, rawest cut on the album. this is the type of hip hop i love. its just raw, lyrical, simple, and memorable. the only thing missing here is a 16 by redman. hopefully we'll see a remix! plus, it really has a bi-coastal feel.... not quite east, not quite west...

i suggest you buy this album, if at all possible. dont download this one, lets give X the figures he deserves here!

all in all this *could* wind up as a West COast benchmark for the new millenium.

yep, I'm feeling Xzibit's new album too... my favourite track is "Klack" but their are heaps of dope songs on there

the album that I think will set the new benchmark in West Coast music is "Game's" album though...

Word is bond! I'm definitely feelin' X to the Z as the left coast ambassador. He's been puttin' it down since day one! I've always thought of him as one of the few west coast mc's who are not stuck in the west; if you get what I mean.

Game's album wont be....

I fully expect his album to be a G-unit retread... i predict, that it will try WAY to hard to BE the benchmark.

i say that this album will be, because it offers sooo much in the way pf balance. my only beef is too many cllaborations. to many guest mc's who dont really do it justic- case in point, "
"beware of us" was bogged down by whoever that first guy was. Phil Da AGony came pretty nice on it though, and the hook was great. i loved that beat. great melodies. thats a Cold Truth beat right there.

Xzibit brought a few things on this album: Soul, Social Relevance, Lyrics, Beats, he has it all on this album, he balances the 'G' elemnt well with the "intelligent/lyrical" element and drops a decidedly West coast album that doesnt overdue tTRYUING to prove how west coast he is. and i doubt Game can/will successfully showcase that type of versatility.

but we'll see how much of an imprint dre makes here. Game COULD be the next big thing with dre's help, but its doubtful. he trys waaaaaaay to hard.

I feel what your saying Cold, more than likely though - Xzibit will sell around the 500,000 mark while Game will be pushing 5 million type numbers and through sales and exposure alone Game's album will be a big thing. Game is also a dope MC and represents the gangsta mentality and music as well as anybody, having Dre and G Unit behind him as well means the production and guest appearances will be top notch. I love Xzibit's music but Game is it right now...

Game's also putting out a DVD to go along with his album, here's a preview to it here;

I sent the review to fade, should be up soon.

it really is a good album those figues just make me sad, for real. this dude is so much more deserving of the scant recognition he recieves.

i will be suprised if most people dont at least agree with my review to a degree; it's not "great", but it sure is damn good and is something that is worthy of support.

I agree with you bro - "Weapons Of Mass Destruction" is a banging album. I'd easily give it an 8 outta 10 and is one of my favourite albums right now. I also briefly Xzibit (and Krondon) earlier this year and he signed all my albums (I've been an Xzibit fan fro a long time)

peace
