don't worry about it. that's only on the really old ones. if you are getting one these days i'm sure it's fine now. i mean, honestly, it's so stupid, to send it back, and wait for them to ship you a new one, it's just the power cord. i mean, if they were gonna send me a NEW XBOX then i might consider it. but i mean, for just a new power cord, it's more of a hassle than a help.

It doesn't matter when you bought it. What matters is the manufacturing date. If your X-Box was manufactured in 2003 or earlier then it as a faulty cord. Check the bottom of you X-Box for the date. It's still possible to have bought one in 2004 that was manufactured in '03.

my ps2 fucked up on me, thats why i bought an xbox, once something goes wrong with anthing equipment,consoles tvs i usually never buy that brand again
