that whenever I find a good record at a thrift shop the sleeve is always empty? I found a James Brown record yesterday, but the sleeve was empty. This has happened a number of times in different shops in the past. So has anyone else had the empty sleeve problem? It's pretty aggrovating finding empty sleeves all the time!

Maybe they stoled them. AHahaa I think some people just sell them to thrift shops without sleeves cuz either they lost it or got it like that. I have a bunch of records without sleeves cuz a lot of them were given to me by different people. But I dont know how they be losing the sleeves though... it doesnt really aggravate me that much though.

coz people rob them and put them inside cheap sleeves ! ; )

thats what i do. ill take all the nice shit and put em in sleeves from the 2$ bin cuz they only read the tag. And then you get all the nice records and your only payin for cheap shit.

Thrift shop or Salvation Army record shopping is sometimes futile....for this fact......there is someone that has beat you to the punch......there is an individual or record store that gets dibs on records in a lot of cases before they get in there....be it that they paid or have the connect.....the greates or KTel and some scratched up record you couldnt squeeze a useful sample from is what has been my experience in goodwill etc...LOL good luck though there is always a diamond in the ruff but it looks like in your case there ruff was empty...

Haha, ya I figured it was other diggers or people who volunteered to get first dibs, I did find some good stuff there in the past, like EPMD Headbanger 12" and some other shit like that. Guess it's just luck and persistance!

SORRY MAN, I HAVE SOMETHING TO DO WITH THIS... WHEN SUM1 SEES AN ILL RECORD, THEY WILL TAKE THE RECORD OUT AND SLIP IT INTO A ANOTHER SLEEVE OF A RECORD THATS CHEAPER. THAT WAY THEY WILL PAY THE PRICE OF THE CHEAP RECORD, AND THEYLL GET 2 RECORDS FOR THE PRICE OF ONE, ITS DISHONEST AND LOW BUT IM A BASTARD SO YOU CANT HOLD IT AGAINST ME

i went to the one in haverhill and the one in salem nh so far. i found almost every popular album plus alot of odd shit that works good for my style of production. so im happy. 200 records, total money spent - 40 bucks. not too shabby imo as almost all of them i enjoy listenin to regardless.
