Im tired of arguing about US MC's...
Who's good in the UK?
Me?? I like Stig of the Dump.. Now I know Ill take some heat here because even Stig'll tell you he's a right Bastard , but for ability to flow well and be understood by a yank I like Stig!
Heres a link make sure you check out the song "Introduction"

Now his boy Respek BA is good as well but the scottish accent can throw me off on the recorded material.
Together these guys got busy as hell on the jumpofftv battles.

So who else is good and provide a link so we can hear em.!

the few that I actually like alot.

Pretty cool, I think the challenge for british mc's to me, is to come off not sounding"polite" whilst rapping..
I mean you can curse and all that and STILL end up sounding like you need tea with that verse, That aint no diss either, thats just what makes me say "bugga off" to some of what Ive heard from there..
Right now all the UK Illmuzik heads are sleepin , when they get up I expect we'll get even more links.

2goods the best London DJ. Muhahahaha...

Thanks manguino

& I agree Relic ... Most UK artists don't sound grimey enough for me.
I like that grimey/street appeal and I don't hear that alot of the time
thru the accent as you said ... Also most that I've heard like some sort
of swag or style ... I'd like to hear more though

2goods the best London DJ. Muhahahaha...

I can name plenty london dj's that I couldnt shake a stick at...
Especially Cutmaster Swift(DMC champ 3 times), Pogo(DMC Champ) & Biznizz, and also MK and Pugwash.
I might be able to cut shit up, but them guys are the full package. Im in awe at their skillz.

With regards to Mc's from the UK, I have never felt the UK has carried it off well, with exception of Slick Rick.
I have heard some unknown mc's that have a decent talent for it, but nothing major. Id be interested to check out some of the posts and get my home game up, I should really show some support for the Uk.

Even though i'm from the UK i don't usually listen to many artists from out here other than afew, i'd have to go with '' Phoenix Quarter '' for one of the best that has being around for awhile.

One More Night is a good track from there free EP that they released back in 05' ain't checked them out in awhile though.

These are about 4 years old now other than '' NY '' which isn't to old, as i stopped listening to UK rap about then and with there not really being a main place to check new artists/releases other than U-Channel it's hard to find any. It is out in my area anyway as they don't stock them.

Im sure there are accpetions to the rule but even cats from the UK will tell you there isent much talent.. Ive been all over the UK
(london, brigthton, birmingham, scotland, wales,Liverpool, bath) and seen countless live hip hop shows, listend to countless albums from people saying they are the savior of UK hip hop...

IMO the majority of UK mc's fall into 2 catagories...

UK mc's trying real real real hard to sound american..and discuss american content which sounds horrible...casue they are not american
and a dude with a british accent trying to tell me how is gonna clap me in a country where guns are illegal and the murderrate is praticlly nothing is ludacris!!!!

OR
UK cats attempting to blend the garage/grime sound and rhyme ontop of it.. which to my ears sounds like choppy techno rap with no soul or lyrical flow...

Again dont get me wrong casue im sure there are a dope UK Mc' somewhere just like im sure there is a couple dope Indian MC somehwere(in the population of 1billion indians)
but overall i get the feeling that the UK dosent breed a cultural of lyrically talented or revelant MC's, the culture and the american influecnce as well as the lack of experince puts most in a shitty position

But hey.. somebody prove me wrong.. shit!!!
