serious.. it will probably be in the $2000 range..... these companies need to tap in to that mid-range market a little better.

it is either too cheap (quality wise) to be taken seriously or so expensive (and over hyped) that we have to starve for a month or two to get something (see another thread for that one!) this looks cool but roland, for me anyways, has a poor history of these kinds of products. at least they tries to get the look right!!! (i think its hideous....) but hey lets hope that this thing can compete seriously...... and that the price is decent.

I gotta admit, I didn't believe it at first. But now that I've seen it with my own eyes I've got to get my credit card. Thanks for the info!

man... i am sure that the hype is WAY overblown (as is usually the case with new piece of hardware) but they sure are marketing this thing nicely.............

I don't think it will be more than 2000. Roland usually has good prices and if they are high it will most likely drop in a few months. Looking at this unit it looks like they will come out with another upgraded model not too soon from now. Where is the d-beam? No Pitch bend value slider of some sort? Maybe even a time trip pad??? Watch and see boys... Watch and see.

Roland is the best to get for sounds.....I know the mc series is packed with all of the hot sounds on their high end keyboards.....this is the best way to make tracks and not get stoned for not sampling....LOL I mean the mc-505 was one of the most slept on pieces they have but because a lot trance and tekno heads used it people sort of stayed away plus programming it is a bitch.....that brand new fantom board (the black one not the old silver one) has definitely been made with hip hop, rnb and urban in mind......the only thing with mass produced equipment like this and the motif is tracks everywhere start having all of the same sounds......that's the only reason why people that don't use samples get knocked alot....but just like anything else you gotta get creative and alter the stock sounds that takes a little less time than diggin crates and vinyl.....all of these companies bite each others ideas....it's funny how the color sort of looks like an akai piece.....
