Domestic violence court must be wonderful to listen to all day.

They recently had this class in regards to the effect on court personel listening to this shit all the time.

Of course I went, and then proceeded to check off every symptom listed for PTSD they had on the board.
Which really triggered the shit out of it, its a little better now knowing why I flip out in certain ways sometimes.
Its caused by cumulative exposure to secondary trauma. 8<

I work in domestic violence court so I hear terrible shit that makes me hate human beings all day.

whats crazy I have a friend who used to work at the YWCA. She said she used to feel sorry for the women there, but she kept seeing the same ones coming back. They would leave their situation/husband/boyfriend, tell their story then go right back to the same situation.
