I don't think it's a case of "We're gonna be Illmuzik.com" I think its an issue of spelling the word music in a hip-hop fashion.
Choosing a domain name is very tricky business, you're an experienced web developer so you THINK about these things, not everybody does.

The name is protected by the fact that I've owned the domain name since 2000. It's not a big deal it's just that I'm wondering why they're choosing that name when it's clearly a known website. It's not a threat nor would it confuse anyone, I mean look at it from another case; CNN.com and CNN (capone n noriega).

It's true, it's a known name in hip hop terms, "ill" and so is "muzik" so I'm not surprised. I'm not looking to do anything, just curious as to who these guys are!
