Where to learn?

Well, I have been making some decent beats with Fruity Loops from self teaching, but I feel it is time that I step up and really try to learn Fruity Loops and what kind of things I could add to my set-up to reach maximum potential.

I am into Hip-Hop so that is what I am going to be focusing on, and I just have a couple questions:

1. Where is a good place to learn the program.

2. What (if any) kind of hardware should I buy? (i only have my laptop)

3. Where can I find new sounds and stuff?

Hope fully someone can help me out =)

1. You should check out warbeats.com as well as the ill forums, fl studio forums and tutorial vids.

2. Good headphones, good near field monitors, midi controller (if needed) and possibly a microphone if you are going to do some vocal work as well.

3. VIP, warbeats.com, and I would also look into sampling some of your own sounds. Gotta make your music your own.

Hope this helps a little. Feel free to PM me if you need any additional help with FL. That's my shit. Peace!

Thanks man. I did find some vids on youtube.

But I am more of a learner if I can have something that is more Basic/Medium/Hard style. Ya know, like a Beginner level tutorial, ect.

^^^Are you a licensed user of FL? If so, check out the video tutorials on the FL site. Like I said before, warbeats is really cool too. Nice helpful stuff. Especially if you are a beginner. They have sound kits to download and tutorial vids as well as some production vids to watch and get more ideas and shit.
