Do I compress vocals after the take, or have the compressor on during the take?

Reverb, more or less?

any techniques becuz my vocals seems to not sound full enough, any secrets will be greatly appreciated.

i thinks it's better to record them dry and add the compressor after in case you don't like the way it comes out you don't have to waste a good take

if your vocals lack some low end just fart into the mic to boost some 150hz.to make them sound FULL.

It's good to compress vocal on the way in, as well as on your mix via plugins.

On the way in you wanna get about 3-4db of compression. This will level out most of your vocals. Then another 3-4 db in your mix. Obviousl EQ to taste etc, but compressors are great to level out vocals. Shit, even after compression on the way in, and on the back end, you will wanna do vocal rides. Leveling out every single word perfectly with level automation, basically acting as your own compressor
