Whats The Difference Between A Usb Soundcard And Reg Soundcard???

Just Wanna Know The Difference Cause I'm Gonna Buy One.....i'm Either Getting The Audiophile 2496 Usb Or The Regular Card You Put In The Comp....is The Any Significant Difference Execpt For The Price? Usb Is 199.99, Reg Soundcard Is 99.99????

To Clarify...its Either The Usb Audiophile 2496 Or The Regular Audiophile 2496.....both The Same Card Just One Is A Usb Connection

No difference really except the usb is portable. (Good if you need to move it to another pc). FOr you, I'd go with the internal soundcard. I have the usb, and unless you have a separate usb port (completely separate; no other usb connected to it) you'll get delays when recording. Or if you really want the external one, then get the firewire one. (faster than usb = no lagging)

I am looking into buying a soundcard too. I need it to hook it up to my mpc and transfer tracks to my computer. Any recommendations?
